Application Information
General Information
Eagle Rock Multi-Age Program is supervised by Mrs. Judy Kay
Harris, who is also Room 3 teacher at Eagle Rock. If
you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this process
or the program's philosophy you may contact Mrs. Harris at 425-844-4901.
Mrs. Jan Neigel is the Program Assistant at Eagle Rock and handles
all application materials and scheduling. Jan is available during
school hours on site and may be reached at 425-844-4900 if you
have any questions or concerns about your application or to schedule
your appointments.
Classroom Configurations
Currently, our program consists of three multi-age classrooms:
Room 1, Room 2, and Room 3. The grade level configurations are based on
enrollment needs and may vary from year to year. We make every
effort to keep well balanced classes, based on equal grade levels,
gender, and ability levels. We accept students of all abilities,
including those with special learning needs such as IEP, Title
1, speech, and PAT.
Our Kindergarten program at Eagle Rock is an all-day, tuition-based
program. These costs are subject to
change from year to year. We have found that some children are
not developmentally ready for an all day, full-time program, therefore,
students will be admitted subject to the assessment of their readiness
during the first month of school.
Application Procedures and Policies
To Complete the Application Process
Applications for the 2007-2008 school year are being accepted through March 2, 2007. All completed applications will be
considered equally and placed into the "lottery". Families
must attend all required Parent/Student meetings or your application
will not be processed to be placed into the lottery.
Other factors may affect the acceptance of your application status
including the staff's evaluation of the educational needs of our
current students, sibling preference, and the need to maintain
an overall gender balance in grade levels.
Requirements for Applicant Pool
Parents are required to schedule and attend the following application
activities.
- Parent Observation Visit
- Student and Parent Visit
- Parent Information Night
It is the parents' responsibility to schedule the observation
visits and entrance conference by calling the school office at
425-844-4900 in February. Failure to meet these requirements will
result in the student's name being dropped from the process. There
will be no reminder sent to parents regarding scheduling or the
Information Night.
When all the requirements are met, then the student's applications
will be placed in the "lottery" section. All applicants
will be notified early May of their acceptance into the program.
Applicants not selected for enrollment will be notified as well
and may stay on in "waiting pool " for that school year,
in case there are openings during the year.
If an applicant turns down the placement or if you are not accepted
for this school year, but would like to re-apply for
the following year, 2008 - 2009, you will have to complete the
entire application process, including all visits and meetings,
the following year.
