Student Arrival and Dismissal Policies

Any child arriving after school has started or leaving before school is dismissed needs to be accompanied by a parent to the office and signed in or out.

Bus/Private Vehicle

The deck opens at 9:15 AM with supervision provided. At 9:15 AM, students are permitted to enter their individual classrooms. The school day begins precisely at 9:30 AM. Students who arrive after 9:30 need to be accompanied by their parent to the office for an admit slip. Students that arrive after 9:30 AM will remain in the office until 9:45 at which time they may go to their classroom.

Student Drop-off

Parents will need to drive in and drop students in the drop off area. If you need to get out of your car to help your child, please park and walk your child in. Do not get out of your car in the drop off area. If a bus is unloading, do not drive past it. Only two cars at a time may pull in behind the bus. If there is not enough room for your car, please wait on the street until the bus pulls away from the curb.

Student Pick-up

Parents picking up children at the end of the day need to come between 3:25 PM - 3:30 PM. This allows buses to pick-up and depart in a timely manner, as they are on a tight schedule to get students to their home schools to catch their connecting buses home. Remember, the bus may need extra room when it pulls back onto the street. Please give it the room it needs.

Changes in Transportation Routine

Please teach your children the importance of responsibility. They should learn and know their daily routine. If their daily routine changes and transportation plans deviate from that routine, please send a note to the classroom teacher.

For the safety of all students, if the school does not receive a note from the parents, students will be sent home per their usual arrangements.
