Attendance Policies
Regular and punctual attendance is important to your child's progress
in school. Please help your child develop good attendance habits.
Student Absences
Our goal is to account for the whereabouts of students not in
attendance at school each day. Please help us by calling Eagle
Rock Multi-Age Program at (425) 844-4900 to report an absence each
day your child will be gone from school. You can leave a message
anytime on our recorder.
If we do not receive a call, someone will call your home. If you
cannot be reached, we will call your work. Please save us this
valuable time by calling us if you know your child will be absent.
Respect Learning Time
Students arriving late or leaving early, not only miss out on
valuable learning time, but they also disrupt the learning of others.
Please make every attempt to arrive on time and leave early only
if absolutely necessary.
Leaving School Early
If early dismissal is unavoidable, please send a note to the teacher
letting them know that your child will be leaving early. When you
arrive at school, please come to the office to sign your child
out. The office staff will call your student from the classroom.
Tardiness and Late Arrivals
Tardiness is a form of poor attendance. Parents must bring their
child to the office to sign in and get an admit slip, if they arrive
any time after 9:30 AM.
Absences and the Law
The 1995 legislature passed a lay requiring that all students,
age 8 through graduation, attend school and that all absences be
documented by the school. Therefore, we ask that you notify us
by calling the school to report all absences or by sending a note
with your child to the office.
If the office does not confirm the absence with you, it will be
considered unexcused. State law required school officials send
a letter advising you of the specifics of truancy laws following
two unexcused absences.
