Kim Lisk Receives 2006 WASA Community Recognition Award

District parent Kim Lisk (shown here with Riverview Superintendent Conrad Robertson), was recently honored at a Washington Association of School Administrators' (WASA) luncheon for her service to the Riverview School District as an outstanding community volunteer.

Kim's active, continuous leadership in the Riverview PTSA's has encompassed elementary, middle, and high school for over ten years. Her role during this time, both as president and vice president, has increased parental involvement, fundraising for school programs, and provided numerous PTSA grants.

In addition, Kim's energy and enthusiasm has infused the planning and development of the District's Strategic Plan from its inception in 2000 through the second 5-year plan adopted in 2005.

As part of the Strategic Plan, the School Board commenced a Budget Advisory Committee, which reviewed budgetary information, budget projections, and made recommendations to the Board on possible increases in income and/or reductions in expenditures. Kim Lisk has been an integral part of this committee for three years, providing insight to others on the budget process.

For the last eight years, Kim's involvement with the Riverview Schools Committee has helped tremendously in passing levies and bonds.

Currently, Kim is Vice President of the Riverview Educational Foundation, a non-profit, volunteer organization established to enhance the educational opportunities of Riverview students through grant awards. She also has taken on the Nutrition Committee this year, working on district policy for nutrition and fitness in our schools.

Kim Lisk 's hands-on work and unlimited energy have fueled Riverview School District 's volunteer programs for the past decade. Her endless involvement with our schools and the Riverview community has made an enormous difference and is greatly appreciated by all.
