Riverview School District raised almost $10,000 for Tsunami relief

The students of the Riverview School District raised almost $10,000 for Tsunami relief.  Schools participated in a variety of fundraisers. From Tolt Middle School 's penny drive which raised almost $600.00 to Stillwater 's Skip a latte day which  helped to raise $2,383.00, each school made a difference.  Cherry Valley 's students raised $1,638.09 in one week by bringing in coins, while Carnation Elementary students raised $2,542.00 by filling money boxes several times over.  But the most unique was Cedarcrest High School , who chose to do a class vs. class fundraiser.  They donated money under the name of their class during lunches.  The winning classes got to have three student representatives from their class throw pies into the faces of staff members Hillestad, McDowell, and Jackson who would good sports for volunteering.  This raised $2,816.82.  Monies donated were sent to World Vision, Mercy Corp and the Sri Lankan School.
