The Riverview School District enrollment figures reached their all-time high this year, with a total student count of 3,192 up from 3,091 students just last year.
The district is pleased with the sound increase of enrollment which has steadily continued in recent years. Riverview Superintendent Conrad Robertson shared, “Over the past five years we have experienced a manageable 1-3% annual growth in our student population. While most Washington school districts have reduced staff thereby increasing class size, we have been fortunate to have actually hired additional staff to maintain our class size”.
The current enrollment breakdown for Riverview's five schools and three alternative programs is as follows:
| Carnation Elementary | 407 |
| Stillwater Elementary | 472 |
| Cherry Valley Elementary | 528 |
| ERMA (Eagle Rock Multi Age Program) | 74 |
PARADE Home School Program |
135 |
| Tolt Middle School | 676 |
| Cedarcrest High School | 881 |
CLIP High School Program |
19 |
Students in Riverview benefit from a variety of educational programs, which are designed to meet the needs of all students. These programs include: special education, remedial reading programs, gifted and honors programs, early childhood programs, English Language Learners, music and fine arts programs, vocational education, outdoor education, athletics, activities, and an assortment of clubs in each building.
Riverview is fortunate to have employees, parents, a school board and community members who are genuinely dedicated and seize the opportunity to be involved in their schools. Community participation in Riverview programs is truly remarkable as parents are involved in every aspect of the educational process, from classroom volunteering to the goal setting process and strategic planning for the district.
The partnership between the community and each of the district schools is very well established. This supportive connection is evident in the consistent voter support and passage of the bonds and levies, and in the hundreds of thousands of dollars generated for educational enrichment programs by the Riverview Education Foundation and each of the school's PTAs.
With district-wide WASL improvement among the best in the Puget Sound Region, Riverview is committed to the four “A's” with outstanding: Academic, Athletic, Activity and Arts programs, and truly honors an approach to education which focuses on the “whole child.”
