KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
The Riverview School District will welcome incoming Kindergarten students and their families during its annual Kindergarten Registration during the month of March. We encourage all incoming Kindergarten parents to register their child on the days set aside by each elementary school. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and their complete immunization record with you. All Riverview elementary schools offer a tuition based All-day Kindergarten program as well as AM and PM half-day Kindergarten programs. Kindergarten Extended Day care will also be offered with a minimum of eight students at all elementary schools. Parents are welcome to pick up the Kindergarten Registration packets beginning March 9, 2009 in the main office of each elementary school. All Day Kindergarten packets need to be turned in by Wednesday, April 1, 2009 to be considered for the lottery drawing which will take place on April 3, 2009. Parents will be notified by mail by the end of April. Specific information about each elementary school is as follows:
At Stillwater Elementary, the Kindergarten Registration will begin with a Parent Informational Meeting on Thursday night, March 19, 2009 from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. in the Learning Resource Center. The evening will consist of a short principal’s message followed by presentations from our kindergarten teachers and Extended Day Specialist. Parents will also be given the opportunity to visit the kindergarten classrooms and tour the school. If you have any questions please contact Stillwater Elementary at 425-844-4680.
Carnation Elementary will be hosting their Parent Informational Meeting and Meet the Teachers on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 4:00 – 5:30 P.M. in the Library. Parents will have a chance to meet and hear from the principal, the Early Childhood Coordinator, and the current kindergarten teachers and will be able to see the classrooms. Cherry Valley Elementary will host their Parent Information Night
on Tuesday,
March 24, 2009 at 7:00 in the school gym. The principal, kindergarten
teachers, and related staff will be presenting information regarding their
program for kindergarten students including questions about registration and
what to expect during the first few days of school. Completed registration
materials may be turned in at the conclusion of this presentation which is a
